Wasoolo

Digital khata app for shops

Wasoolo is a digital khata (credit ledger) for shopkeepers and small businesses. It replaces the paper register: every customer gets a khata, every payment is recorded, and a reminder goes out on WhatsApp in one tap. We designed and built it, and published it on Google Play and the App Store, with a web app and desktop apps for Windows and Mac.

What we built

Features

  • A khata for every customer, with a running balance on every entry
  • Payment reminders on WhatsApp in one tap, and a calling list of who is late
  • Qist (installment) plans with guarantors, and no interest, ever
  • PDF invoices, receipts and statements with the shop’s own name and logo
  • Stock with barcode scanning, low-stock alerts and a “what to buy” list
  • Cash, bank, a day book (roznamcha), expenses and a profit page
  • Staff salary, attendance and logins with chosen permissions
  • A free app where customers see their own khata
  • Works 100% offline and syncs by itself; CSV and Excel import and export
