In short
- You can use everything on this site without an account, and the site sets no cookies.
- We collect only what you type into a form: a comment, a message, a tutorial request, or your email address for the course list.
- We never see card numbers. Payment providers handle payments on their own pages.
- We do not sell or rent your information to anyone, and we use no advertising or tracking service.
- Ask us to show, correct or delete your information at any time: help@etechbyabbas.com.
Who we are
E Tech (etechbyabbas.com) is the website of Muhammad Abbas. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean the operator of this website, who is responsible for the information described here.
Full company details are on the Company page.
What this policy covers
This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit etechbyabbas.com, watch a course, leave a comment, send a message, join the email list or make a contribution. It does not cover YouTube, WhatsApp, the app stores or the payment providers. Each of them has its own privacy policy.
Information you give us
Comments on a lesson. Your name, your email address, your comment and the IP address it was sent from. Your name and the comment are shown publicly once approved. Your email address is never shown; it exists so we can reply to you or check a comment.
Contact form and tutorial requests. Your name, your email address, the topic you chose, your message and the IP address. The message is stored and is also sent to the owner's email inbox. You receive one automatic reply that confirms we got it.
Email list. Your email address, the page you signed up on and the IP address. It is used for one thing: a short email when a new course goes live. To leave the list, write to help@etechbyabbas.com and your address is removed.
Contributions. When online payments are open, the payment provider (a card processor or PayPal) handles your name, email address and payment details on its own pages, under its own privacy policy. We receive only what the provider passes on: a confirmation, the amount, and the name and email address you gave it. Card numbers never reach this site.
Information collected automatically
Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs: your IP address, the page you asked for, the date and time, and your browser type. They exist to keep the site running and to spot attacks.
Visitor counter. We count how many people open each page, without cookies and without any tracking service. Each day the site makes a one-way code from your IP address, your browser type and a secret, and counts that code once. The code cannot be turned back into your address, and it changes every day.
Rate limits. To stop spam, the site keeps a short note keyed by your IP address for up to one minute after you send a form. Then it is gone.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies of its own. Three small preferences are stored in your own browser, on your device, and are never sent to us:
- your light or dark theme choice;
- the lessons you marked as watched;
- whether you closed an announcement bar.
Clearing your browser data removes them.
Services from other companies
- YouTube (Google). The videos are played with YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). The lesson preview image is loaded from YouTube's image servers when a lesson page opens; the player itself loads only when you press play. From that moment Google's privacy policy applies.
- Google Fonts. The site's font is loaded from Google's font servers, so Google receives your IP address for that request.
- WhatsApp. The "Share" button on a lesson opens WhatsApp with the lesson link. Nothing is sent unless you press it.
- Hosting and email. The website, its database and its email run on servers of our hosting provider, Hostinger.
- Payment providers. When contributions open, a card processor and PayPal handle payments on their own pages.
Why we use your information
- to show your approved comment and to reply to it;
- to answer your message or tutorial request;
- to send the "new course" email you asked for;
- to receive and record a contribution;
- to keep the site safe from spam and attacks;
- to know which pages are read, so we can make better courses.
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build profiles, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
Who can see your information
Muhammad Abbas, who runs the site and reads every message and comment. The hosting provider stores it. The payment providers see what you give them on their pages. Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Approved comments: as long as the lesson is on the site, or until you ask us to remove yours.
- Messages and tutorial requests: until they are answered and no longer needed, or until you ask.
- Email list: until you leave the list.
- Rate-limit notes: up to one minute.
- Visitor counts: the daily codes and page totals are kept as statistics. They cannot identify you.
- Backups: the database is backed up daily, and each backup is deleted after 14 days.
How we protect it
The site uses HTTPS everywhere. Your information is stored in a database that only the site and its owner can reach, behind a password and a second sign-in step. Nothing online is perfectly secure, but we take care.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also object to a use, or ask us to stop the "new course" emails. Write to help@etechbyabbas.com; we usually answer within a few days. Depending on where you live, the law may give you more rights, and you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is for everyone, but it does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If a child has sent a form, write to us and it is deleted.
Changes to this policy
When something on the site changes, this policy changes with it. The date at the top of this page shows the last change.
